On November 30 and December 1 journalists had the opportunity to gain insight into the workings of the United Nations at an informative and intensive two-day session organized by the Foreign Press Center in New York City. The topics discussed included major structural and legislative issues central to the world organization and its role in peace building and keeping.

Keeping the organization from becoming a modern "Tower of Babel", by insuring that its multitude of representatives are accurately informed in their respective language is an immense task.
While some may consider the UN as an old-fashioned institution trying to fulfill unrealistic goals, myself and other journalists still have a great respect for those nations and individuals who work towards world peace.
